Day 3

Ok.. So today is day 3 and things are not going very well..

Yesterday was very hectic; from church to the state fair to going out to eat afterwards. Today was crazy with work then going to my best friend's son's 2 yr birthday party. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Since tomorrow is election day, I will have the whole day to write, write, and write some more.. Well part day, I have class at 5pm... But today I am setting a target.. By the end of tomorrow, I plan to have 1,000 words...

Day 1...

Ok, so today is November 1st. The beginning of National Novel Writing Month.

It is my goal to have written a 50,000 word novel by Nov 30th.

As of now, I am getting off to a bad start. I went to get my hair done and I also had to get my oil changed so from 8 to 1, I was not at home. Then when I got home, I started writing a little but it was very little. So now, here I sit concluding the first day of NaNoWriMo with only 201 words.

I must say I am a little disappointed. I have been looking forward to this day ever since I found out about NaNoWriMo.

I won't give up. I won't quit. So stay tuned for more of my Nano-ing...

9 More Days Left!!!

Only 9 more days until my challenge begins.

I am a little nervous considering how I never wrote a novel before, I am swamped with stuff at work, I never have any free time, and I am sleep-deprived.. BUT I am ready for the challenge.

So bring it on....

Plus completing this novel in spite of everything else will make this victory a lil more victorious.


I decided to write a self-help Christian novel. One that actually touches the real side of life. One that will open a person's perspective to life, love, faith, joy, and, most importantly, Jesus Christ.

Since this weekend is my B-Day weekend [Oct 25th..... YAY!!] I won't be able to do some brainstorming until the 27th. So I guess I will take those 5 days to just sit back, analyze life, and come to terms with exactly what I want to write..

Nov 1st is approaching soon, so see you then..

The big.. WHAT??

Since I have just 30 days to write my novel, I better choose one that will spark my interest. It have to be something with flare. Something that will get my blood flowing straight to my brain. Something that will illuminate my mind. Something that will make me scream 'YAY!'.. Ok, maybe nothing that exciting, but it have to be something catchy. After all this will be my first novel...

So the questions of the week is: What will my novel be about? Fiction or nonfiction?

I'm leaning towards nonfiction. I want to write a story that is dear to me. One that will draw from all emotions and all experiences. One that will make me laugh and cry all in the same sitting.

I think I know what I will write about.. but ssh.. It's a surprise.

The MISSION is ON!!!

Writing is my passion.. It will be such a great accomplishment to write a novel. It will be an even greater accomplishment to write a novel in 30 days.. It will be an EVEN greater accomplishment to write a novel in 30 days while working full time and going to school....
